New bridge across Hindon river to complete by June 2016

first_imgMeerut, Sep 15 (PTI) The new bridge across the Hindon river linking Meerut with Baghpat would be completed by June 2016 at a cost of Rs 11.73 crore, an official said. Administrative and financial approvals from the departments concerned have been received and the bridge would complete by June next year, Commissioner of Meerut Division Alok Sinha said today. Sinha said that he has issued instructions to all divisional officers to take up as priority the works announced by the Chief Minister. He said that he has written a letter to the secretary of Communication and Information Technology Ministry for setting up an IT park in Vedvyaspuri residential scheme of Meerut. Over the establishment of womens degree college in Kharkhoda, Sinha said construction of arts and commerce block and administrative building has been completed and a revised proposal of Rs 12.01 crore has been sent to Special Secretary Uttar Pradesh government. Foundation work for ITI Kithore has been completed and Rs 2.5 crore has been released for the purpose, he said. Sinha said he has also issued directives to officials concerned for completing installation of CT scan and MRI machines at Meerut medical college and the construction of link road at earliest.
