The triple century partnership was the highest ever for the opening wicket in the history of ODIs, and the fourth biggest ever for any wicket. But Zaman carried on and smashed 24 fours and five sixes to score the seventh ODI double hundred overall. He continued his brilliant run of form in the series in which he has already scored two centuries and a half-century with a match remaining on Sunday.Zimbabwe’s dismal batting continued in the five-match series and it was bowled out for 155 in 42.4 overs to lose its fourth straight match by a heavy margin. Shadab Khan starred with the ball, picking up 4/28 from 8.4 overs to help the subcontinent team bowl the African nation with 44 balls to spare. We think you could predict the #ZIMvPAK 4th ODI Player of the Match…Who else but @FakharZamanLive! pic.twitter.com/WnXZ3e00WIICC (@ICC) July 20, 2018This was Pakistan’s second biggest-ever victory in terms of runs in ODI cricket and captain Sarfraz Khan was absolutely elated about the team’s performance.advertisement”Thanks to almighty. That’s what we need batting first. Imam and Fakhar gave us a solid platform. It’s good that our top order batsmen are getting runs. When we go to field, our target was to bowl them under 160 and we executed our plans. We will try our level best to win the next game,” Sarfraz said.Record-breaker Fakhar was also very happy with his performance and jokingly said that he will try and not give the middle-order the chance to bat in the next game too.”Thanks to almighty. Imam played really well in the start and he supported me well. I think today was my day. I knew about Saeed’s record. Mickey (Arthur) told us before toss that if we win toss we are going to bat and he asked me to score a double ton. He was telling me the same thing two days before as well.Imam is playing really well and he keeps talking to me whenever I feel not comfortable. We play together in domestic cricket. I was feeling tired in the field and hopefully I’ll get some treatment from the physio. I’ll try not to give them (middle order batsmen) the chance in the next game,” an elated and an equally tired Fakhar.Pakistan win the fourth #ZIMvPAK ODI by 244 runs and up in the series by 4-0.More https://t.co/gUMQPj0aR3 pic.twitter.com/VhQOy3F14rPCB Official (@TheRealPCB) July 20, 2018Zimbabwe skipper Hamilton Masakadza also praised Fakhar for his tremendous performance and hoped that they do well in the last ODI on Sunday.”Never really in the game, they put us under pressure from ball one. Fakhar played exceptionally well and we found it difficult to rein him in. We fell way short in all three departments today. It’s always going to be difficult chasing 400, you have to go for your shots from ball one and that’s always not easy. Hope we can turn up on Sunday and play better than we did today,” said Masakadza.last_img
