For the 7th consecutive season APOEL was crowned champion of the Cypriot First Division. We are very proud that Parimatch is part of this legendary team’s success and we want our partnership to push beyond our usual sponsorship plans, as strive for victory at every level.”The successful partnership between the club and the international betting site is also underpinned by a commitment to charitable initiatives which benefit the local Cypriot community. In the last year, both organisations contributed to the Cypriot society by working together to organise several activities in support of charity. Each year we embark on even more ambitious projects together. The new powerful Parimatch logo, with its electric yellow colour, is proudly displayed on the APOEL jersey as well as on the modern training center, which was named ‘Parimatch-Archangelos’ last year.” The deal follows on from Parimatch’s landmark partnerships with mixed martial arts athlete Conor McGregor and boxing king Mike Tyson, with the betting firms fighting spirit being cited as a key reason for the fighters joining the brand. Portnov concluded: “In addition to our successful cooperation with APOEL, I would like to reiterate Parimatch’s commitment to the Cypriot market. Although the market is small in size, we believe it is very promising, so we will take all the necessary steps to make Parimatch the leading betting company in Cyprus. My presence here today, as well as the establishment of Parimatch’s headquarters in Limassol, demonstrate the importance of Cyprus for Parimatch.“We are equally committed to supporting Responsible Gaming Week, organized by our regulator, the National Betting Authority. We encourage gamers to play responsibly and focus on the entertainment factor, rather than the easy money.”last_img read more

The Nazis closed down Jewish-owned businesses and began to round up the Jews for relocation to concentration camps for the Final Solution. Danish freedom fighters of all ages risked everything in daring, hurried rescue attempts of entire Jewish population. In the Number the Stars production, a young Annamarie and Kirsti Johansen flee from soldiers, interrogation, force dogs, personal danger, and loss of loved ones and their own fears as they try to help their friend Ellen Rosen escape across the ocean to Sweden and safety. In the “Terezin Promise” the play deals with the Terezin concentration camp and the Nazis who are in retreat, desperate to destroy evidence of their crime. While some prisoners escape hidden in the confusion of the retreat, Raja Englanderova remains to keep a promise she made to their teacher, Irena: she will not leave without the drawings and poems of the Terezin children. She convinces her friends and Hauns, the leader of the boys’ group, that they must find the buried bundles and hidden suitcase before the Nazis destroy the camp and them with it.“I went to the Holocaust Museum and saw some of the artwork and poetry from these children in the concentration camp,” said director Dorathea Kelly, drama director, debate and forensic coach. “It is exciting that the Wellington kids are bringing this adaption to the stage.
