Tourism is a horizontal activity that requires a long-term strategy and the involvement of all tourism stakeholders in year-round tourism activities. From local plans and activities, to activities at the level of the Ministry of Tourism and the Croatian National Tourist Board. In doing so, special attention must be paid to sustainable development as a foundation necessary for the future of our tourism. ” Minister of Tourism Gari Cappelli pointed out on the occasion of the award ceremony and added: “We must not forget that man is the key to success in tourism, therefore, I congratulate all the winners, nominees, but also all employees in Croatian tourism, because they are the ones who make tourism truly competitive and who with their creativity and work make Croatia attractive and one of the world’s most desirable tourist destinations. “.Annual award Anton Štifanić – Ante Mrvica, Jadrolinija SplitThe importance of the contribution of all tourism workers in achieving this year’s excellent results was emphasized by the Director of the CNTB Head Office Kristjan Staničić. “Tonight, we wanted to reward the best from different segments of our overall tourist offer with these awards and recognitions. Thus, in strong competition this year as well, we singled out individual destinations, attractions, events, but also hotels, camps, marinas and numerous other entities that make up the overall tourist offer. However, on this occasion, I would like to emphasize that behind all of the above are the people who, with their work and contribution, are actually most responsible for these excellent results, which we are all sincerely proud of. In that sense and on this occasion, I extend my sincere congratulations and thanks to all people for an excellent tourist year, and I wish everyone an even better and more successful tourist year 2018.” said director Stanicic. On this occasion, the Vice President of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce for Tourism, Trade and Finance, Josip Zaher, pointed out: “The expected more than 10 billion euros in revenue for this year, the high share of tourism in GDP and the largest number of investments show the importance of tourism in the Croatian economy. At the same time, they point to the high dependence of the economy on this activity and the insufficient development of other sectors. Therefore, it is necessary to further encourage the growth of other sectors through tourism. I invite all stakeholders to a dialogue on important issues of the sector in order to welcome the next tourist year even more prepared and achieve even better results, and I congratulate once again the award winners, the champions of Croatian tourism.”, said the vice president of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce for tourism, trade and finance, Josip Zaher.TOP 10 OF CROATIAN TOURISM – October 26, 2017 TOURIST DESTINATION OF THE YEAR· Rovinj· Split· Crikvenica· Olive grove· Baranja· Osijek Hotel Monte Mulini, Rovinj TRAVEL AGENCY OF THE YEAR· Calvados Club Luxury Travel, Split· Fiore Tours, Porec· Uniline Travel Company, Pula TOURIST EVENT OF THE YEAR· Špancirfest· Poreč Open Air – festival of life· Rab Fair Split CATEGORYFINALISTSWINNER Marina Frapa, Rogoznica CAMP OF THE YEAR· Camping Resort Lanterna, Porec· Polidor Camping Park, FuntanaCamping Resort Lanterna, Porec Family hotel Amarin INNOVATION IN TOURISM OF THE YEAR· Family hotel Amarin· Perfect Experience Creator Program (Valamar Riviera dd)· Product Eltel Smart Cycling Bike Point MARINA OF THE YEAR· ACI Marina Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik· Marina Frapa, Rogoznica· Marina Vrsar, Vrsar HOTEL OF THE YEAR· Hotel Monte Mulini, Rovinj· Valamar Isabella Island Resort, Porec· Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik Hotel, Dubrovnik RESTAURANT OF THE YEAR· Bokeria Kitchen & Wine, Split· Gourmet Restaurant San Rocco, Brtonigla· Restaurant Villa Ariston, Opatija· Zinfandel’s Restaurant, Zagreb Rector’s Palace, Zadar Restaurant Villa Ariston, Opatija ANTON ŠTIFANIĆ AWARD· Annual Anton Štifanić Award· Lifetime Achievement AwardAnte Mrvica- Jadrolinija SplitNiko Bulićlast_img read more

I never tried to run away from home I’m not sure why because home was the last place I wanted to be and when I was 17 I left and never looked back. My siblings on the other hand pulled the I’m running away card all the time! They would stuff a pillow case full of cloths/toys and then sit at the end of the driveway until mom went and got them lol. Prayers for the family and this young man. I sure didn’t have the best family life in the world but honest I wouldn’t trade them for anything. Love one another you never know how long you have them with you. Pochettino wants Tottenham to be the hunters when attracting top talent

first_imgMauricio Pochettino wants Tottenham to be the hunters not the hunted when it comes to attracting the world’s top talents.Kyle Walker is the latest Spurs player to be attracting interest after Dele Alli, Danny Rose, Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier and Christian Eriksen have all been linked with moves away.Tottenham have been forced to sell their star names in recent years and still cannot compete financially with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea. But Pochettino, whose side sit second in the Premier League, wants Spurs to become a club that players look to join rather than leave.“We want to move the club to the last level,” Pochettino said.“At the moment if we are capable of moving the club in the next few years to the last level you will see maybe the rumours will stop because when you compare Tottenham to – I don’t know I want to be very respectful – to Manchester United or this type of club, you do not see the same sort of rumours as down here.“Why? I think you know and we know, it is not a moment to talk but that is the situation. The real situation is we are working so hard.“I try to explain to you that there is a lot of pride, because he (Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy) is the first who is creating a massive club for us and the fans because he is thinking to move – in the next few years – the club into the last level.“And then of course in our signings we are creating a new team that in the new stadium – and with the new facilities – Tottenham will be one of the best teams in the world.”Spurs can reduce the gap at the top of the Premier League to one point by beating West Ham on Friday, three days before leaders Chelsea face Middlesbrough. The Hammers have struggled at the London Stadium this season just as Pochettino’s men have failed to replicate their own good form at Wembley.Tottenham will move to Wembley next season while their own new ground is completed and Pochettino said he might ask Hammers boss Slaven Bilic for advice.“Yes it will be a great opportunity,” Pochettino said.“Before the game, after the game. Always is an opportunity to listen, to learn. He maybe can advise us on different things. You need to adapt to different things in a new stadium.”While Spurs are bidding to maintain their title charge, their opponents are still not mathematically safe from relegation. And Tottenham’s steady progress over the past few years, both on and off the pitch, means Bilic is casting an envious eye towards West Ham’s London rivals.“They are buying really good players and they built a really good team,” said the Hammers boss.“It’s a good question, because we can’t look at Man City or Chelsea or Man United, or watch European football every week and say ‘yeah we want him’.“We have to do it with a limited budget and Spurs have shown us – either because they were lucky or they had great scouts – that what they are doing is the way.”West Ham striker Andy Carroll is still struggling with a groin problem and will be handed a late fitness test.Tottenham left-back Danny Rose is still not ready to return after three months out with a knee injury.
